GUWAHATI launch INDIAN'S longest River ROPEWAY on 24 August.

ASSAM: After India's longest rail-cum-road Bogibeel bridge, Assam is all set to start India’s ‘longest river ropeway’ on 24 August 2020.

As per reports, the ropeway service shall be launched by Assam's Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. 

The project has been completed with a cost of Rs 56 crore.The 2 kilometres long river ropeway will run from Guwahati (Kachari Ghat) To North Guwahati(Dol Govinda Temple) and the expected travel time is 10 minutes. And its cabins have been imported from Switzerland .
